All the AVN stuff going on??

I don't read the news much, I find it too depressing. Thanks to facestalk however I do see tidbits here and there and have just been reading all the stuff about the HCCC warning against the AVN and the new group the SAVN. It's crazy! It does all worry me. Seems like they're coming after anything alternative at the moment ie. homebirth, non vaxxing etc...will it be home ed next?

I daresay unschooling is most definitely on the list after hb, and non vax. The fact that we're thinking for ourselves and attempting to raise children that are more than unquestioning worker bees freaks them right out

Stylish only has another two and a half years of unschooling til she goes to tafe to do her hsc (her choice at this point) so I'm not so worried about her (and I was a good woman when I had her, I vaxed her to the max and had her in hospital) but Spikee and who ever will be born in the next few months (or days ) will be subject to the bullshit.

Interestingly enough I recently received nearly $300 for vaccinating James. I rang cloop and told them that he hadn't been vaxed, infact he was DEAD, and they told me that was irrelevant, it was the final payment of the baby bonus we received for him!?!?! I guess I won't have to sign a conscientious objection form on the grounds that he's dead

I think you're right about unschooling. It's the one thing I'm quite concerned about because dd1 is now in the system we'll be hounded about registering etc.
